Foggy Girls Club's Merry Best Of 2014 - Die große Liste

And so here it is, our " große " list for the end of the year.
Right in time to embellish your Xmas presents hunt and slip one or two very interesting pieces in your rotten Vans, tired Santiags, pierced and perforated Converses, dirty socks and Blue suede shoes under the tree.
So yes, once again it's unreadable but it's full of sincere love, joy and faith in humanity. Once again, again, no " top list " because it's too hard, too cold outside and the planet is in danger, but we swear on our mother's heads that you can pick, buy, listen any of those EP's, singles, albums, because they really touched and moved us deep in our groopies' hearts.

So a big "thanks" and many kisses to all the artists, bands, labels, roadies, venues, bars, clubs, record shops, DJ's, writers and well-advised audience.

Have all a nice Christmas/NYE time and let's meet again next year, we'll be less lazy, we swear. Keep faith.

Alors oui, c’est toujours illisible mais c’est plein d’amour, de joie et de foi en l’humanité. Encore une fois pas de top car c’est trop dur, il fait trop froid et la planète est en danger, mais nous vous assurons sur la tête de nos mères que vous pouvez piocher, acheter, ou juste écouter n’importe lequel de ces albums, Ep's, singles, car ils nous ont vraiment touché au plus profond de nos petits cœurs de rockeurs en cette année 2014.

TV COLOURS - Foggyview + titre en exclu “Beverly”

Partons se réchauffer du côté de la capitale Australienne, Canberra, pour découvrir TV COLOURS.
Derrière ce nom se cache Bobby Kill qui, en activiste de la scène musicale locale depuis bien longtemps au côté d’autres formations telles que Danger Beach, Assassins 88 ou encore The Fighting League, prépare la sortie de son premier LP Purple Skies, Toxic River sur l’excellent label parisien XIII Records (pour juin).
C’est avec plaisir que nous proposons en exclu un extrait de cet album (ci-dessous), et quel extrait !



Beverly est un tube avec la patte fuzzy et DIY de TV COLOURS bien sûr. Sa mélodie complètement entêtante met immédiatement de bonne humeur et on attend avec impatience de pouvoir écouter la suite. A noter que TV COLOURS prévoit de faire une tournée en France en septembre prochain.

En attendant, Bobby nous a accordé quelques pensées ci-dessous :



x Ta définition du rock and roll ou ce que tu ressens quand tu joues de la musique ?

Le rock and roll est un genre musical qui est né et s’est développé aux Etats-Unis dans les années 50. « Purple Skies, Toxic River » est le premier album de Rock and Roll depuis 53 ans et l’an prochain je serais institué au Rock n Roll Hall of Fame à Cleveland, Ohio, ce qui est très excitant ! Metallica va y jouer un medley de leurs chansons favorites de TV COLOURS pour ouvrir la cérémonie.

Je leur ai d’ailleurs demandé de reprendre Dave Mustaine dans le groupe. Je comprends sa douleur, vous savez, et comme lui, j’en pleure la nuit, « Comment ça aurait pu être ? Comment ça aurait pu être ? ». Ça résonne dans ma tête comme des fantômes qui me hantent… « LARS NON! NOOOOON! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ! ». Bref, ils ont refusé.


x Une image? 




C’est L.A Thomas, la tête pensante de Danger Beach et aussi le bassiste de TV COLOURS quand il arrive aux répétitions.

x Pire cauchemar ?

Je suis en train de marcher dans la rue où j’ai grandi, le temps est très doux et tout est silencieux à l’exception du bruit lointain d’une voiture. Puis, sans que je m’en rende compte, la rue est engloutie par des flammes et je me fais soudainement poursuivre par une version T-800 (Terminator2) de Teri Hatcher.
Elle se rapproche de plus en plus et j’entends le bruit sourd de son corps de métal de plus en plus près… c’est très stressant. Au moment où elle est prête à m’attraper, un éclair blanc jailli et je me retrouve tout à coup en train de chevaucher un tricycle sur une route singulière. Celle-ci est bordée de chaque côté par des cailloux et se termine par l’océan.
Tout redevient calme, je peux entendre les mouettes et le bruit de la mer.

A chaque fois que je fais ce rêve, je suis plus grand et le tricycle est plus petit…

x Un endroit préféré?

L’endroit que je préfère, ça serait un centre commercial pendant Noël. Tous les gens dépensent de l’argent et achètent plein de choses. Il y a longtemps, mon père m’a appris que la clé du bonheur se trouve dans l’acquisition de possessions matérielles. Ma seule façon de le remercier d’une telle leçon est de transmettre ce sage conseil au plus de gens possible.

Let's get warm by heading to Canberra in Australia to discover TV COLOURS.
Bobby Kill is hiding behind that project and  is kind of an activist of the local Canberra's scene since some time now with others band like Danger Beach, Assassins 88 or The Fighting League. 
He's going to release his first LP Purple Skies, Toxic River on the great parisian label XIII Records (june 2013).
This is with a certain pleasure that we have the privilege to make you listen to one of the song, and what a song!



Beverly is a hit with the fuzzy and DIY TV COLOURS' touch. The melody is crazily heady and it makes anybody in a fucking good mood. We're really looking forward to listen to the whole record and for your information TV COLOURS will tour in France next september.

While we're waiting for that, Bobby give us some thoughts...



x What is your definition of rock and roll or music ? or describe how do you feel when you're doing music?

Rock and roll is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United States during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Purple Skies, Toxic River is the first Rock N Roll record in 53 years, next year I am being inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio, it is very exciting, Metallica will be doing a medley of their favourite TV COLOURS songs to open the show.
I requested that Dave Mustaine be put back in the band, I feel his pain you know, I cry myself to sleep at night just like him, “what could have been?” “What could have been?” just ringing round in my head, like ghosts, haunting me, LARS NO! NOOOOO! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Anyway, they declined.

x Your (favorite) worst nightmare ?

I am walking down the street I grew up on and weather is very very calm, everything is silent except for the sound of a distant car driving up the road.
Then, without a moments notice the whole street is engulfed in flames and I am suddenly being chased by A Teri Hatcher version of the T-800 (Terminator 2). She starts to get closer and closer and you can hear the heavy clunking of her metal frame catching up to me, it is very stressful.
Just as she is about to catch me A white flash goes off and suddenly I am riding a tri-cycle down a singular road that is bordered each side with rocks and at the end of the road is the ocean, everything is very calm again and I can hear seagulls and the sounds of the sea.

Everytime I have this dream I get bigger and the tri-cycle gets smaller.

x The place you enjoy?

The place I enjoy the most is being at the shopping mall at Christmas Time. Everyone is spending money and buying things. A long time ago my Father taught me that the key to happiness is through the acquisition of material possessions, my only way to repay him for such a lesson is to pass on this wisdom to as many people as I can.

The Burger Revolution! Cosmonauts + Pierre et Bastien + Advent Nivid en concert à Paris (Espace B) 08/03/2013 + Concours

Vendredi 8 mars sera l’occasion de proclamer la Révolution Burger à Paris.

Initiée par l’incontournable label californien Burger Records, le principe de la Burger Revolution est d’organiser dans le monde entier des concerts ayant rapport avec leur univers.

A Paris, on peut compter sur le label XVIII Records, le disquaire libraire Pop Culture Shop et l’Espace B pour participer à la fête en programmant quelques fines lames de la scène rock que nous chérissons :

Les californiens de Cosmonauts représenteront Burger Records et viendront nous attiser avec leur rock psychédélique puissant et hargneux.

Ils partageront l’affiche avec les excellents parisiens Pierre et Bastien et Advent Nivid pour cette soirée à ne pas manquer... la révolution est en marche !
